Many books have been written about the siege of Malta and the battle for the strategic sea-lanes in the Mediterranean theatre in WWII. The men who fought on this theatre were an amalgam of the Allied Forces involved in the fight against the Axis powers. They included men from Great Britain, South Africa, India, Southern Rhodesia, Australia, New Zealand and the USA. This is the reminiscences of a South African pilot who served with the RAF and the South African Air Force during that period.
