The HQ-2 is a Chinese surface-to-air anti-aircraft missile from the Cold War and - probably - modern times. The rocket was created as a development of the HQ-1 missile, which in turn was an exact copy of the Soviet S-75 Dvina missile (NATO code: SA-2 Guideline), which entered service in 1957. The HQ-1 missile, compared to its Soviet prototype, had slightly more complex electronics. On the other hand, the HQ-2 missile had an even better target tracking and missile guidance system. It is worth adding that the most modern versions of the missile (such as the HQ-2J) are still in service with the PRC's armed forces. They cooperate with a radar capable of simultaneously targeting a target and aiming a missile at it. It is assumed that the detection range is approximately 115 kilometers. It is worth noting that the HQ-2J missiles are most often transported on wheeled Type 77 launchers, and the CPMIEC plant based in Beijing was responsible for their creation.
