The L-59 aircraft, compared to its predecessor, has a modernized landing gear, elongated nose, definitely more advanced avionics and cockpit equipment, as well as a different engine with greater thrust. In the course of production, three main versions of the Super Albatros were created: the L-59 (version dedicated to the Czechoslovak and later Czech and Slovak air forces), L-59E (version for Egypt) and L-59T (version for Tunisia).
